STEM Career Day
What do french fries, insects, and the internal combustion engine have in common?
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)!
UWSP will be hosting the 2nd annual STEM Career Day on Friday November, 5th. The event introduces students to a variety of careers in science and will offer presentations by UWSP faculty, staff and STEM professionals.
The conference will also host workshops for adults that work with students in STEM fields. Van Walling, P.E., Executive Director of Engineers & Scientists of Milwaukee, will present on how to get more students into STEM, how to improve student diversity in STEM fields and how to recruit future STEM student ambassadors.
